The former Kaweah Group located in Porterville, California was dissolved by the Kern Kaweah Chapter Executive Committee due to inactivity on December 11, 2011.
Sierra Club members in Porterville, and the nearby commmunities of Camp Nelson, Springville, and Lindsay are now served the chapter's Mineral King Group .
